How to Create Great Templates
Not all templates are created equal–and some things don’t require a template. Here are a few tips to follow.
First, templates should be comprehensive. So err on the side of including also rather than too little, it’s easier to delete information than add it in.
Imagine you’re developing a template of your resume. You’d want to list details and that means you are going to have.
You can always delete notes that are less-important on, but you may forget it in the last 25, if it is not from the template.
Some applications will automatically fill in all these variables for you (more on this in a bit). But should you need to fill in the information on your own, include some text that’s simple and obvious to look for so it is possible to find text that needs to be changed without a lot of work.
